I’ve been bookmarking lots of great art as I’ve been browsing Society6 lately for our Design Milk Dairy picks. Here are a few of my favorites from late, not in any special order and certainly not any specific theme, unless “abstract orange and pink directional pugs” is a theme. Fusillo isn’t your ordinary wall shelf. In fact, it’s more than just a shelf, it’s a coatrack, a bike rack, and bookends, too. Handmade in Italy and designed by andViceVersa , Fusillo appears to be a solid piece but in fact, it’s made up of smaller sections that pivot on a central axis and can be moved up and down to be used as bookends or hooks. Each section has a notch out of it so that it can hold a coat, hat or even a bike!

If you were redoing your kitchen in a colorful theme, which of these two looks would you rather? One bright solid color or two tones – one bright, one darker?
For me, I don’t love two-tone, so this would be a no-brainer. The bright turquoise with the dark floors is a classy way of using color, in my opinion.
What are your thoughts on these kitchens? Which look would you rather?

OrWa Designs is a two-person team based in Vancouver, WA that builds solid wood furniture at an affordable price. (They also love finding vintage collectibles to help decorate homes.) All of the pieces can be customized to your size and color choice, and are available through the artisan site collective CustomMade . Excited for their nightstand to be featured in this month’s Deconstruction , they said, “Now people can see what a tiny furniture making business is like. We do it out of our two bedroom house, so things are tight, but we manage!” Let’s see how they do it. We start out with long, solid pine 3/4-inch boards, cutting the correct size for the sides, top, and bottom with our table saw, making sure the cuts are precise.

Happy Hump Day!
For this week’s product pick, we’ve got a beautiful table lamp from Penta that is radiant and gorgeous. Also available in pendant lights, the Glo Table Lamp is made from chromed metal and borosilicate glass. It is offered in two different sizes and two different colors – either silver or gold.
The Glo Table Lamp somewhat reminds me of an oversized wine glass – which I absolutely love! It is also available as a floor lamp which would illuminate any room.
What are your thoughts on the Glo Table Lamp? Where would you put one in your home?

Designed by Tommaso Bistacchi for Valsecchi 1918 , this desk lamp holds more than a light bulb. Created from a single block of walnut, the base of the lamp also features holes and spaces for pens, crayons, letters and business cards. The lamp itself is made of metal and fits into the slit in the walnut block in many different ways and angles, depending on how much light you need.

I don’t know about your but I hate alarm clocks. I hate setting them to get up at ungodly hours. I hate the blaring alarm sounds that won’t stop as you struggle to find your clock on your bedside table and proceed to knock every single thing off it . I hate that super bright light staring at me all night long reminding me how little sleep I’m going to get

My obsession with the website Dinner: A Love Story is no secret. Literally every recipe I make from there is amazing. Like put-a-ring-on-it amazing.
One of my favorites is super-easy and super-delicious. All you have to do is throw some salmon to bake in the oven and while it’s cooking, chop some scallions and ginger and mix them with some soy sauce and oil. I usually grate the ginger to save even more time. When the salmon is done, pour the sauce over each piece and serve. This is great with roasted brussel sprouts, or any vegetable you can throw in the oven alongside the salmon!
Here is the full recipe, including the sauce, which they have added a few more items to it since the initial post, but I keep it simple with the four ingredients mentioned above.
In fact, I’m making this for dinner tonight. If you try it, let me know how it comes out!
