Sculptural Tables Named Ike and Stella

Nucharin Wangphongsawasd is a graduate student in the Woodworking and Furniture Design at Rochester Institute of Technology. We’ve featured her XYLO table and Screw rings before – fantastic work from someone who hasn’t even graduated yet! Ike is an ash Hallway table inspired by repetitive pattern construct by using the mixing between hardwood and wooden strips to represent a progression in form start from solid close space to open space which provide light and airy feeling for the overall table. Stella is an ash and wanut side table inspired by repetitive pattern construct by using the mixing between hardwood and wooden strips with technique using wedge to create tension between each strip for creating a structure which start from solid close space to open space.
