I must still be in the Gatsby state of mind, because these chandeliers are really calling to me. The style of a crystal can be a bit more on the traditional side, but when placed in a modern setting – forget it, I love it!
These chandeliers you see above are from Endon Lighting. They are reasonably priced, and I can see one in a giant foyer, another in a sleek modern bedroom, a third over a fabulous kitchen table, a fourth in a chic contemporary living room. I would even put one of these babies in the bathroom. Beautiful!
Not sure which one I would choose, but I definitely need at least one of these in my near future. The crystals and the way they reflect the light have a gorgeous effect in any room.
What do you think of these chandeliers? Too much crystal for you or just right?

My house would be at least 1000 times more fabulous if I had one of these Uovo Black Pearl chandeliers hanging in it. Wouldn’t yours?
As uovo is Italian for “egg,” the egg-shaped attributes of this gorgeous chandelier are made using glass-blowing techniques and then finished in either gold or silver.
The Uovo Black Pearl is made by glass company Lasvit in collaboration with designer Rony Plesi.
What do you think of the Uovo?

Admirers of the hipster hunting chic aesthetic associate the name Jason Miller with his ceramic antler sconces and chandeliers, though his Modo chandeliers are also all the rage among lighting lovers. However, this Brooklyn-based design master is also the maker of bone china with beautifully delicate gold chains, and furniture, both woolly and duct-taped. It’s no surprise that his Friday Five reveals a penchant for nature and earthy art

Baccarat has introduced a series of chandeliers in Milan at Salone , and this one from Philippe Starck stood out quite a bit. Called Marie Coquine, this Zénith 12 lights chandelier is topped with an ivory umbrella with a chestnut wood handle, as if protecting it from the rain. Limited to an edition of 120. Don’t open umbrellas in the house cause bad luck?

Cho Hyung Suk says that he always thinks that chandeliers are too decorative or over-designed, so he created a casual, modern chandelier. His Semicircle Chandelier uses wood spheres to hide the electrical components. The entire piece is made of steel pipe, wood, and electronic wire. © 2010 Design Milk | Posted by Jaime in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook
