Line Up is a table designed by German designer Kosta Pamporis in collaboration with Florian Schulz. The tabletop is not 100% concrete, but actually a mixture of waste material from turning and sanding wood. Using this sawdust in a special concrete mixture creates a 40% lighter concrete slab. The addition of the really cool neon rope and wooden dowel legs make the table very trendy, too. I’m digging it

Alessi partnered with a few designers to create the new AlessiLux Portable Table Luminaire Collection . The line, which was developed in collaboration with LED lighting company Foreverlamp , consists of four cordless lamps that can be used for everything from emergency lighting to camping, or even an extra light by your bed. They utilize energy saving LED bulbs mounted on a lamp base that houses a powerful rechargeable battery. Each lamp has a dimmer and when powered on high, the battery lasts a full 10 hours and if used on a dimmed setting, it can last for days. The Lumiere Flame (first image also) was designed by Giovanni Alessi Anghini and Gabriele Chiave and gives the feel of those old candles with its glowing bulb

I headed to Berlin last week to attend the launch of the Axor Starck Organic bathroom collection, which is a collaboration between design genius Philippe Starck and the German company Hansgrohe’s luxury brand, Axor . The collection combines a sleek, organic faucet form with a revolutionary way of saving water. Philippe Grohe discussing Axor’s history with designers The Axor/Starck collaboration began 20 years ago and each design has become iconic. This latest design was three years in the making and you can easily see why. While Starck focused on the design, Philippe Grohe, head of the Axor brand, was behind the technology to make it work

We really loved the Kohler booth; it was probably our favorite booth (and not just because they had a phone charging station !) I think they did a great job of embracing and promoting their collaboration with Jonathan Adler . The booth, which was actually a shipping container painted chartreuse, was over the top: the staff were colorfully dressed and when Jonathan himself stopped by, they served fancy blue drinks and blue and yellow cotton candy.

Yay! I love this collaboration. Danish company Fritz Hansen is working with Maharam and Kvadrat for the launch of Point by Paul Smith. British Designer Paul Smith is known for his vibrant textiles and his reimagining of traditional Scottish Fair Isle knitting is evident in his new Point collection. Available in seven different geometric patterns and eleven colorways, the fabrics are being upholstered onto a selection of Fritz Hansen’s classic design icons including the Egg, Swan and Grand Prix by Arne Jacobsen and the PK22 chair by Poul Kjærholm, as well as the Alphabet Sofa by Piero Lissoni. So fun! Share This: Twitter | Facebook | Discover more great design by following Design Milk on Twitter and Facebook .

SleepBox is a contemporary and organic piece of furniture made from HI-MACS® material. Resembling a giant chaise lounge, the seat has an interior cutout with a leather cushion, which would make a great place to curl up and read a book or watch a movie. The project was designed by Caspar Lohner at the Chair for Computer Aided Architectural Design CAAD, Department of Architecture, ETH Zurich, supervised by Mathias Bernhard and Manuel Kretzer and produced in collaboration with Kläusler Acrylstein AG, the exclusive distributor for HI-MACS® in Switzerland. The Archiquarium (and the Archiquarium II) is a seriously stylish fish tank. I think this is what happens when your fish graduate from the fish hotel . Made by Swedish manufacturer Akvarie-Leasing in collaboration with Orrefors Glass Factory and designed by Karl-Oskar Ankarberg from Karl-Oskar Designstudio , this aquarium is for serious modern architecture lovers. The table is made from ash and the aquarium in 8-mm glass with a Corian® facade. One of my faves this year from ICFF was Crafted: the Urbancase and Teroforma collaboration. The collaboration includes a selection of beautiful barware and two well-crafted liquor cabinets that complement one another. Even though they operate on separate coasts, seeing these two companies work together isn’t a surprise because each is so dedicated to high-quality craftsmanship
