Vito is a trestle leg that allows you to create a table using your own tabletop, designed by the HeyTeam design collective, made up of Claudia Ciarpella, Paolo Emili, Riccardo Paccaloni. The system is made up of two pieces of metal that lay over your table and wrap around the sides. The legs are then screwed in underneath, functioning like a clamp keeping the table and legs in place

What happens when you take ten designers based in London and you leave them for one week inside an empty factory in the Dutch countryside? This is what… Having successfully carried out a similar project in 2005, Arco invited ten Okay Studio designers (a collective of RCA graduates) to experiment with their state-of-the-art machinery and see what they could come up with – this time based from the factory, and in just a week. They were challenged to make something from wood that was completely different from anything in the current Arco catalog. The resulting prototypes are displayed in “The Garage” just off Brompton Road from September 17-25th for the London Design Festival

Rotganzen is a Rotterdam based artist collective formed by Robin Stam, Joeri Horstink and Mark van Wijk. They’ve created a party tent, appropriately named Party. The party is over and a party tent, with partially tilted legs, has been left behind. This exact image is captured and stylized in Party, a series of objects made out of steel. Something that was once fragile has now become solid.

Industrial upholstery is a project from Gilli Kuchik with Gil Sheffi and Ran Amitai, who together make up Tel Aviv-based Bakery Studio , a design collective founded in September 2009. This project explores new ways of upholstering furniture using the upholstery polyurethane foam as the fabric. From the designer: During the research stage of the project, it was apparent that upholstery as a discipline is based on a craftsmanship logic which stayed fairly the same through upholstery history. The Industrialized Upholstery project seeked to create a new upholstering technique which is based on an industrialized logic, and by doing so creating a new aesthetics of upholstery.
