Karen Tinney

Karen Tinney is a recent graduate of Parsons School of Design in the Product Design department. Her senior thesis is called PatternWerk: Structural Textile, Functional Furniture. PatternWerk is an outdoor seating unit that utilizes weaving and textiles as its primary form of joinery. Fusing craft and functionality it capitalizes upon the structural properties of traditionally decorative textile elements.
