Lack Table Hack for the Wall
May 11th, 2012 — Furniture, Uncategorized
Materials: Lack end tables and Lack shelves Description: We wanted to create an entertainment center look without purchasing the huge piece of furniture. Inspired by this IKEA Hackers post we decided to pick up a bunch of Lack tables and attach the tops to our brick wall. The black brown color already matched our IKEA media center and leaving space in between each row left room for a couple Lack shelves (also in black-brown) that we are still brainstorming arrangements for! A BALMY entertainment center?
June 21st, 2011 — Furniture, Uncategorized
Materials: MALM chest of drawers, BILLY bookcase Description: My girlfriend wanted an entertainment center where she couldn’t see any of the DVD’s. Also, more space for pictures. The center is an as-is MALM 6-drawer chest of drawers. For the side units, we combined a MALM 3-drawer chest of drawers and a BILLY book case. They’re the exact same width, so it looks like it’s one piece of furniture

Lack wall mounted home Theater
July 21st, 2010 — Furniture, Uncategorized
This is really just a modification or practical application of wonderful hacks that I found on this site. I take a step further by incorporating moderate handy-man skills to turn just a few bucks of Ikea stuffs into a real slam of a home theater system. before I used the Lack long and medium shelves to build the frame, and the Lack side table to do the entertainment center. The wires go into the wall behind the TV and come out on the OTHER SIDE in my bedroom near the baseboards, travel to the far wall, then return behind the bikes, and run below the heaters all the way to the entertainment center
