Happy first day of Spring. This week’s product pick doesn’t really have to do much to do with Spring, but maybe the pineapple aspect can be a segway into summer aka warmer weather? Either way, these glamorous gold tables are wonderful.
Looking at them initially, I don’t think I would associate pineapples with the design, but upon hearing the name of the tables, I understand the correlation. Really, I just love the combination of gold and marble. You don’t get much lovelier than that, as far as I’m concerned.
Designed by Pedro Sousa, the Pineapple Side Tables can be found at Ginger and Jagger of Portugal.
What do you think of these modern side tables?

What do you think of when you think of quilted? For me, my first thought is NOT anywhere near the quilted goodness you see above. But that’s ok – there’s nothing wrong with that, right? I think it’s exciting to see a contemporary spin on certain styles, which seems to be happening with quilted styles.
Looking at these images above, the quilted look also reminds me of the iconic Chanel designs, which are classic, timeless and elegant. I wouldn’t mind a style such as that in my bedroom or living room, that’s for sure.
While typically I’ve leaned towards a classic tufted look, the quilted look is something I wouldn’t mind seeing more of. Elle Decor lists quilted as one of its upcoming trends, and that’s fine with me!
How about you – what do you think of quilted patterns in home decor?

For many, today is the first day back to a full week of work after two weeks of holidays. Factor in all of the holiday preparation before that and all of the undecorating after, and it becomes a case of the post-holiday blues.
Some people I’ve talked to are happy that the hustle and bustle of the holidays are over, which I am too in some ways, but then I look at my empty living room where my tree was just hours ago and it is a bit depressing.
I did a quick search of these post-holiday blues to see what people were saying about it, and I came across a list of ten ways to beat the holiday blues. Many of them include volunteering and doing other good deeds, but one of them hit home to what we’ve been talking about here: decluttering!
As for myself, I’ve been feeling a little bummed the past few days and I think the holidays having come and gone may have something to do with it. That, and the fact that my Christmas tree was infested with gross bugs. Guess I better act on all the decluttering I’ve been talking about!
What about you? Are you feeling the post-holiday blues?

It was absolutely love at first sight for me when I saw the beautiful Eden Coffee Table. What’s not to love about it? Low profile, full of texture and a glamorous metallic finish – I’ll take it!
The Eden is offered as a set of two center tables and in a side table as well, with many finish options also offered. The structure of it is made from mahogany and covered with polished brass, and then the top is completely engraved to resemble a tree. This modern coffee table is made by Boca do Lobo.
What do you think of this coffee table??

While browsing through Pinterest, I found that first image of plush purply goodness. I’m seriously in so love with that sofa that I can’t stop staring at it. Is that wrong? It’s so plush it looks fake! And it’s soooo purple.
So anyway, that pin lead me to the portfolio to Drake Design Associates. And the rest of the home, in the Flatiron district of New York City, is just as gorgeous. I’ve included a few images, but you can see more in their portfolio.
The use of color – mainly the purple (would you call it fushcia?) – is beautiful. And I love the colorful, geometric artwork. Especially those stripes. Such a classic and bold way to bring in more colors.
So, what do you think about all this purple?

When I saw the first image above this morning, I wasn’t sure how I felt about the low hanging lamps over a coffee table. It made me think about low-hanging lights in living rooms as a whole. It’s such a different look than over a kitchen counter or dining table.
So of course to find more I turned to Pinterest and these are what I found. What do you think – love this look? I still can’t decide!

Happy First Day of Winter!
How is the weather in your neck of the woods – is it winter-like? It’s been fairly unseasonable in North Jersey the past few days – with warm temperatures and thunderstorms filling the air!
Even still, today marks the first day of winter – the Winter Solstice – so our days won’t be as dark as early as they have been. And even though it’s been warm lately, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t prepare for the cold to come – which is exactly what I’m doing with these cozy winter whites.
These whites have me thinking of cozy beds with knitted comforters and warm faux furs. Can you see yourself running down that bright white hallway and jumping into the coziness?
If you’re not cuddling under the faux fur, then you better stay warm and cozy with some bright white flowers surround by it. I don’t know about you, but I certainly wouldn’t mind staring at that flower arrangement all day. Especially if a huge white feather tree was nearby. Forget Christmas – I’d leave that baby up all winter long!
With furs, feathers, cozy knits and bright whites on my mind – what’s making you think of winter?

New York-based artist and industrial designer William Lee just released a pair of chairs as part of a group of new work that was geometrically inspired. The Conform chairs at first sight do not look like chairs at all. The minimalist seat is composed of a misshapen cube-like frame in neon green or pink and a seat made of stretched woven elastic that “conforms” to the body. As soon as I laid eyes on the Marea ceiling fan , I knew it was love at first sight. If only I had a pre-wired ceiling box for this beauty.
