Urban Logs Collection by Ilan Dei Studio

The Urban Logs Collection is the latest line of limited-edition furniture from Ilan Dei Studio . Focusing on “urban renewal” each piece gives new life to urban and suburban trees that have been removed and are destined to become waste or firewood. Each log has a different shape, texture, and story which adds a history and brings some uniqueness to each piece. This natural individuality is contrasted by the simple, yet industrial elements of safety orange (love!) tube, orange upholstery and smoky copper-tinted mirrors. The designers were inspired to create this collection after seeing beautiful pieces of unused logs lying around the neighborhoods surrounding the studio in Venice, CA

Joko Chair

The new Joko chair by Bartoli Design for Kristalia will be presented at Salone in Milan next month. With its light, new and friendly appeal, the Joko chair expresses the overall poetic nature and design philosophy of Studio Bartoli, a longstanding protagonist of Italian and international design. Its structure, in foamed polyurethane on a metal frame, is entirely upholstered in fabric or in natural/synthetic leather. Elegant and versatile, it is ideal for any home interior and for contract furnishing areas. These product photos are just weird.

Kino Guérin

I love the wood-appears-like-paper kind of look in furniture. Designer Kino Guérin shows exactly that in some of his limited edition furnishings and objects.

Panpaati by Enoc Armengol

These bread furnishings by Enoc Armengol make me so hungry. The concept behind them is that they can be a part of the living process because they can be eaten. In addition, they reflect the production process of certain non-edible objects: fast and having a short life before they become obsolete. I think they definitely beat candy necklaces.

Imeüble by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad

Imeüble by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad is a unique storage solution that tricked me into thinking very little could be placed inside each diamond-shaped space when in reality, there is more space than I thought. http://www.imeuble.no via Swissmiss ©2010 Design Milk | Posted by Catrina in Home Furnishings | Permalink | No comments | Tweet This | Share on Facebook Facebook – Design Milk – Business – Online Communities – Social Networking
