Scout Regalia Wall Pocket
October 18th, 2009 — Design
Scout Regalia has introduced the SR Wall Pocket, a hand-sewn, wool felt hanging pocket. Inspired by geode mineral formations, the pockets are sewn with various stitch types that represent multiple geometric dimensions. These would be a great holder for gifted wine bottles, and are reusable, too. http://www.scoutregalia.com

Kruze Lounge Chair by David Fox
October 14th, 2009 — Design
Industrial designer David Fox collaborated with Boss Design to create a lounge chair that could’ve earned an A in ultra-advanced woodshop and advanced sewing class (the highest level, the one that all honors-y students would want to get into). Not only can you sit pretty in it, but the chair itself sits pretty by itself.

Birdhouse from Vlaemsch()
October 4th, 2009 — Design
Designed by Emilie Cazin, the Birdhouse links the balcony to its green surroundings and the inhabitants of apartments to the birds outside. Lacking a garden in her LEGO like apartment building, Emilie Cazin created this Birdhouse in order to attract birds to her balcony and thus stand out from all the piled up apartments with the same windows, same walls, same balconies. The uniform balcony is transformed into a lookout for bird watchers. Birdhouse, with form that refers to, but clearly deviates from he parabolic antennas in the cityscape, is an invitation to the city’s birds to nest close to one’s window. http://www.vlaemsch.be
