QUAD Trivet by Dewa Bleisinger

Berlin-based product designer Dewa Bleisinger ‘s QUAD Trivet adjusts to a handful of sizes and patterns to accommodate any size pot you place on it. It unfolds from a simple square to a large circle, making it the only trivet you’ll ever need. It’s made from 16 wooden cubes that are connected with a silicone strip that’s hidden on the underside of the cubes. Besides being flexible, the silicone is also heat-resistant making it a safe place for your hot food. The chunky cubes are substantial and form a variety of geometric designs to not only do its job but to also look good on the table

kerFchair by Boris Goldberg

The kerFchair is a flat pack furniture designed by Boris Goldberg made from CNC-machined birch wood. Instead of bending laminated wood, he applied a different technique to achieve the same effect. By using the kerfing technique, he avoided the laborious process of pressing the sheets of wood on a bending mold and clamping the together. Instead, the structure of the chair (the legs) are used as a bending tool. You can contact Boris at goldberg.boris@gmail.com

JPEGS: J Hooks with Handy Pegs

Leave it to Thabto to come up with a quirky name like Jpegs for these J-hooks. Inspired by the classic wooden clothes peg, these hooks can manage just about anything from your keys to coats and bags and also wrangle your mail at the same time. Or, stick a love note in the clothes pin. Or lunch money! Pop a photo of the hook’s owner to help keep your family’s things organized and separated. Each Jpeg also come with powerful magnets so you can put them on your fridge to use for kids’ drawings or notes, and also hang a potholder or apron.

KST Dining Table by Livius Härer and Ada Ihmels

Marble! It’s not going anywhere this year. I can’t wait to see how people will use it in the coming months. This dining table called KST , designed by Berlin-based Livius Härer and Ada Ihmels, is a nice juxtaposition of the marble top and bright yellow-painted steel base that’s bent in all kinds of fun directions. It’s kind of pipe-like, no?
