Québec-based Romacieri Soligo creates high-end tile and bathroom fixtures and their latest line of porcelain tile called Azulej is designed by the one-and-only Patricia Urquiola . Purposefully made with differing aesthetics and various orientations, the tiles are made to be mix-and-matched to your heart’s content. The Azulej collection uses an innovative digital printing process to infuse geometric, linear, and floral patterns onto the tiles. Available in, two sizes of tile, three color schemes, Bianco (whites), Grigio (grays), and Nero (blacks), and 27 patterns for each, making the design possibilities endless.

Arizona native Amy Lau , who is based in New York City, founded her interiors firm in 2001. Lau received a Master’s degree from Sotheby’s in New York, after which she worked for Thomas O’Brien at Aero. The duo Daniel Debiasi and Federico Sandri make up Something , a design partnership based in London and Verona, Italy, and their latest creation is a lamp called Naica for Ligne Roset . Inspired by those old carbide lanterns that were used by miners, the lamp is a bit cave-like itself with a hollowed out space that softly reflects the light. The ceramic fixture diffuses the light that way creating a soft, surrounding glow. The lamp is available in solid white or with a red-colored cavity, both with a textile-covered cable that doubles as the handle.

Froc is a new high chair by Slovenian company Rimarket and design studio Gigodesign . But not only is this a nice-looking high chair, it’s also adjustable in more than one way: the seat and footrest heights and the backrest position are all able to be adjusted. The removable safety belt will keep babies and toddler safe but when removed, make older kids feel like they’re sitting at the table like an adult (until they’re 10). The solid leg with four extensions keeps the chair nice and sturdy, too.

Offered by molo, this week’s product pick is a unique type of seating – Softseating. With magnets on each end, this modern seating can also be used as low tables. Essentially, it can be made into whatever you desire – as you can see from the images above.
Softseating is made in two different versions – one is from fire-retardant kraft paper, which is available in brown and charcoal black. The second material offered is water-resistant Tyvek, which is available in white or black.
I’ve never heard of furniture made from kraft paper – have you? I would love to see what these look like, but I’m assuming they are durable or it wouldn’t be happening!

Design studio Nendo has crafted a unique sofa system for KOKUYO , complete with high backs, that gives individuals and groups a place for privacy in an office environment. Named Brackets , the seating is meant to “bracket” whoever is sitting, like parentheses. Watch the video for the different variations: There are seven sofa modules and four table types so users can customize to their liking and needs, but also arrange to suit the space.
