M-Bamboo Table & M-Bench by Jennifer Newman Studio

Jennifer Newman Studio is well-known for a modern take on indoor-outdoor furniture and for their latest they are delving into the sustainable world using bamboo surfaces. The M-Bamboo Table comes with your choice of tabletops – a dark chocolate (above) that works inside or outside, and a light caramel (below) that’s made for inside use. The powder-coated aluminum M-Bench comes in a trapezoidal shape that mimics the form of the table. The outdoor tables are available in 3 sizes to seat 2, 3 or 4 people on each side, while the inside table comes as a long version only and seats 5 people on each side. Even though I seriously love the orange, the tables and benches are available in a wide variety of colors to suit your taste.

Ghost Chairs: Love This Look?

The Ghost Chair can be a pretty ubiquitous item, but that doesn’t really bother me. When I think about it, the places I see it the most are online, and not as much in person. [Maybe I'm not getting out enough!]

What I love most about the Ghost Chair is it’s versatility. It looks just as great alone in an office as it does as a pair in a living room or as dining chairs at a wedding. I even saw one image on Pinterest that was of a wedding ceremony that used Ghost Chairs. What I wouldn’t give for a wedding like that!

To me, the Ghost Chair is chic, can be glamorous, it’s timeless and as I said above, versatile. These Ghost Chairs I found at Lakeland Furniture are available in a huge variety of colors, which adds even more diversity and fun to the equation!

I think it’s pretty clear that I love the look of Ghost Chairs – but what about you – do you love this look? What is your favorite arrangement of these modern chairs?

Swiss Army-Style Kitchen: Shaping Silestone by Campanas

Brazilian designers Fernando and Humberto Campana created an innovative design that will make you re-think the kitchen. Shaping Silestone® by Campanas is a modular unit for the kitchen that mimics the way a Swiss Army knife works. It has three main elements, or wings, that each incorporate a function for the kitchen – a worktop, a stove, and a sink and table. So instead of having many components being brought into a kitchen, you have one single piece that houses much of what you need

100% TobeUs: 100 Wooden Toy Cars by 100 Designers

100% TobeUs began as the brainchild of Italian architect and designer Matteo Ragni who became a father and realized that modern day toys were nothing but disposable objects with no real value or meaning. So began his quest of “giving children the possibility to love an object” and TobeUs was born – wooden toy cars made from cedar that are built to last and cleverly designed by skilled designers. Untitled by Fernando and Humberto Campana (above) Would you like a slice of toast? by Tomoko Azumi Cedar, with its distinctive smell and durability, became the perfect material choice. With the help of Alessi , 100% TobeUs expanded the project to include 100 toy cars that were designed by 100 designers, all to be shown in an exhibition in Milan.

Sitting on Air: Dome Stool by Toer

Toer has released Dome , a metal and wood stool that gives the impression you’re sitting on air! Using 80 carved steel rods that spring out of the wooden stool base, creates a geometric structure reminiscent of structures used in architecture, like the Pantheon. Therefore, this metal shape looks light and airy but has a ton of strength behind it. Its wood base is constructed from beech, which is a nice contrast to the steel.
