Jewels

I’m a big J.Crew person. And I used to be a bigger jewelry person, but now I’m just kind of lazy. Either way, I can’t get enough of the jewelry that J.Crew has been dropping the past year or so. The beading and the gems and the jewels are just perfection. PERFECTION!

From the necklaces to the bracelets to the earrings to the rings – they are colorful, blingy and bright. For me, looking at their jewelry is like being in a candy store – I can’t get enough! If only my pockets were a little bit deeper, I’d own way more of their pieces than I do. I usually wait until they have a sale because they really mark those jewels down.

I sound like a J.Crew groupie, but really that’s what I am! I can go into that store and really break the bank. It’s not a good thing.

What do you think of these jewels? Any that you have to have? I’m thinking I absolutely NEED that necklace in the top left corner ASAP!

Useful Arbeitsloser (Jobless) by Sanghyeok Lee

Useful Arbeitsloser (Jobless) by Sanghyeok Lee is a series of furniture that reflects the life of its designer. The collection is focused on its joints and resembles scaffolding and construction, which, for the designer, is representative of life in a foreign country. From the designer: A scaffolding resembled a life of a designer who lives in a foreign country in a way that it is always passed by, constructed and moved away without much attention, while being a necessary element in construction sites. Useful Arbeitsloser (Jobless) is assembled pieces of furniture. The brass joints symbolize the weight of life and the act of screwing the joints is a part of a life to create comfort.

Skim Milk: Float Wall Desk by Orange22

Float Wall Desk is a minimal design created by California-based design firm  Orange22 . The founder of the company believes that well-designed objects elicit strong emotions, starting with a sensory experience at its core. He states, “That’s what interests us about design—that capacity to affect the emotions of those who experience it.” The Float Wall Desk was designed to easily mount onto any existing wall space, creating in itself a flat surface that has multi-functional utility. The desk takes up minimal space due to the slide-out tray, which can be used as both drawer to hide peripheral accessories or as a surface for the mouse and keyboard.

Get Out! Modern Camping and Hiking Lanterns by Snow Peak

I’ll be honest – I’m not a camping person. I enjoy short hikes in the daylight, so a hiking and camping lantern isn’t something I’d actually use camping or hiking, but these lights from Snow Peak are cute and modern enough that I’d surely put them in my backyard or use them around the house.

Lifestyles

Lately I’ve been thinking about lifestyles. Glamourous lifestyles, more specifically. I’ll admit, I’m a big fan of several series of Real Housewives on Bravo, but sometimes the lifestyles they portray get me thinking. There are so many things to think about on this topic of conversation – which could get crazy. But really, I’m thinking of how Pinterest and the Internet and shows like RH make it so easy to fantasize about living in a huge, gorgeous home like the one above. Can you imagine swimming in that pool all day?

Or cooking in a ridiculously fabulous kitchen such as that white one. Have you even seen an island like that? I can’t say that I have. And wouldn’t it be wonderful to take a bath in an infinity tub next to your fireplace? That’s some serious relaxing.

See how easy it is to fantasize? And a lot of these things you can make reality with a little DIY and money saving. And whenever I dream about owning a gorgeous home like this – one thing I don’t EVER think about is the money involved. It’s one thing to think about initial costs – but how about everything else? Taxes, insurance, maintenance. Insanity!! My household insurance is reasonable, but can you imagine what it’s like on that gigundo home above?? I wouldn’t even want to know!

Even though it is fun to dream of living a glamourous lifestyle, it’s also just inspiring to look at the beautiful decor and architecture created for those living the lifestyle. While sometimes a quick home fantasy can brighten your day a little, so can some great inspiration! Which is way cheaper!

What do you think of glamourous lifestyles? Do you enjoy the beautiful homes and rooms all over Pinterest or are you sick of them?!

ACME Furniture

ACME FurnitureACME Furniture is one of the largest furniture manufactures in the United States. The company has six different branch locations, including New York City, New Jersey, Miami, Dallas, Atlanta and San Francisco. With so many different service branches, ACME Furniture is able to reach the vast majority of the country, without over extending itself. ACME recently purchased and developed a 400,000 square foot warehouse in Los Angeles, where the company ships out orders in under two days, with very little wait time, as the facility houses 12 million dollars worth of inventory at all times. This way, over 90 percent of the orders are filled within the initial 48 hour span.

ACME factory in LAACME Furniture uses a large amount of products from Malaysian factories. Some other factories provide additional features and material, including those located in Brazil, China, Taiwan and Vietnam. Due to the long term relationship ACME has with the different factories, it is possible for ACME to receive a significant discount on the furniture, and this is reflected in the price and the consumer is able to save a good amount of money by buying ACME Furniture, instead of going with a different brand.

There are several different kinds of material provided by ACME Furniture. These are broken down into family room, dining room and kitchen, home office and more rooms (which is essentially just side rooms that have no real classification, or don’t have enough furniture designs to be considered its own room collection). With so many different room furniture options, it is possible for anyone to locate and decorate their entire house with furniture from the ACME Furniture company.

ACME dining room room furnitureWhen it comes to the family room, ACME Furniture produces furniture ranging from couches and love seats, sleepers that fold out from traditional couches, side tables and coffee tables. A large supply of mattresses are available, California King bedrooms and sets give the largest available size of mattress and bed style, while ACME Furniture also sells Eastern King bedrooms, queen size bedroom sets, twin bedroom sets, bunk and day beds and full size bedrooms. This way, no matter the size and no matter the overall style, it is all found right here at ACME Furniture, so there is really no reason to look anywhere else.

Dining room and kitchen comes with mostly different table and chair decorations, although outdoor furniture and occasional tables are also part of this collection, should a specific table or look be desired for the house. Home office chairs, desks, cabinets and other equipment can be purchased at ACME Furniture, along with other material to fill out the house.

ACME Furniture is one of the largest furniture manufactures not only in the United States, but in the entire world. As ACME works closely with the developer and the produce selling companies in Asia, ACME Furniture is able to receive a significant discount on just about every item, and these prices are reflected in the prices, allowing clients to save on almost everything.

The Day After

Someone told me yesterday that an estimated 17 million people will call out sick today – the day after the Super Bowl. I wish I could have been one of those 17 million – were you one of them?

After all that food and betting and drinking, I would have loved to take another day off! Instead, I’m working the day away, dreaming of lounging with my feet up on a comfy leather sofa, like the one above from ScS. Although, if I were that girl, I’d be in sweats, not looking as cute, covered in a blanket, snacking on some Doritos.

I’m falling asleep at the computer just thinking about sinking into a giant leather sofa. I think I need one of these – or maybe just a leather chair to cozy on and claim as my own.

What are your thoughts on leather sofas?

Sweden & Coffee by Raúl Arribas

Sweden & Coffee by Raúl Arribas is an experiment with two Swedish traditions: glass blowing and coffee. The coffee set is primarily made of glass, blown by Reino Björk . I love the copper, smoky smooth glass paired with the textured cork. I wonder how the cork would hold up over time?
