Artist Damien Hirst has created a limited edition version of the ever popular Vipp bin, The Dotted Vipp Bin , with inspiration from his iconic colorful dot design, Chloramphenicol Acetyltransferase. Designed exclusively for the opening of the Astrup Fearnley Museum in Oslo, Norway, there will be a limited number of them for sale at the museum. Alessi teamed up with Studio Dror to create an exclusive modern Mezuzah for The Jewish Museum . Named “Connection, it is the first piece in the “Alessi for The Jewish Museum” collection. The mezuzah is realized in 18/10 stainless steel and features an undulating pattern that kind of reminds me of a topographic map. Rust-proof, this mezuzah is a great option for just about any doorway including outdoor entrances like covered porches and patio entryways

Who likes Art Deco?! If you didn’t catch it in the Times today, here’s the news. Until January 5th get yourself over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for a gallery full of French Art Deco furnishings. The collection has been arranged by Jared Gross, one of the museum’s associate curators, and contains nearly 150 objects. This is about 75% of the museum French Art Deco collection and the most EVER exhibited at one time. Seriously, how awesome are those green chairs?
