At Salone , Artek will launch a new series of lighting designed by Ville Kokkonen called White. The collection consists of four fittings, with the fifth one to be launched by the end of the year. White is the outcome of Artek’s extensive research on the use of light fittings in domestic, office and public spaces. There is even one therapy light presented in the collection. The Plama Marble Run 2D by Bernhard Burkard is a toy for kids and adults alike. Built using 12 magnetic planes in different simple shapes and colors on a magnetic wall, it allows the user to create thousands of possible paths that the marble can take. This series of hand-crafted lamps is based on a mathematical composition of a high-impact pattern. The kah-du collection by Ilanel Design Studio is reminiscent of the Op Art movement of the 1960s.
