Particle by Bethan Laura Wood is a furniture collection that was designed during her residency at Design Museum in London. The visual aesthetic of the furniture system is inspired by the crates and unpacking materials she saw at Butler’s Wharf, the location of the museum. She has re-purposed wood laminates to give them a more striking appearance in order to encourage others to rethink the idea of beauty. The wood laminates have been laser cut and interwoven much like patchwork to create a system of interlocking and stacking units.
