I don’t know about you but I still get excited when I view a city from an airplane or a tall building. There’s something about that perspective that is so fascinating to me and when I saw The City Series from McNabb & Co. , I got the same feeling

From storage pieces to tables, Keir Townsend has created a series of art-meets-furniture for Italian manufacturer Laurameroni . Reminiscent of art sculptures of Donald Judd, these metallic furnishings play with light and trick the eye. The process of making the pieces involves applying a patinated surface to metal strips and then folding them onto the furniture.

These table and ceiling lamps made by Ragip Erdem are created from old books using not just the pages but the spine and covers, too. Turning them into little sculptures, Ragip hand makes each lamp from a single book, therefore no two lamps are the same.
