Los Angeles-based designer Igor Chak was inspired by the video game Donkey Kong when he designed these 8-bit wall shelves that resemble the game’s levels. Chak explains, “I started to wonder… what happens to all those video game props when games become old….do they get stored away in a digital world or do they fade away with time?

Lack Table Hack for the Wall
May 11th, 2012 — Furniture, Uncategorized
Materials: Lack end tables and Lack shelves Description: We wanted to create an entertainment center look without purchasing the huge piece of furniture. Inspired by this IKEA Hackers post we decided to pick up a bunch of Lack tables and attach the tops to our brick wall. The black brown color already matched our IKEA media center and leaving space in between each row left room for a couple Lack shelves (also in black-brown) that we are still brainstorming arrangements for! Kilby upgrade
April 4th, 2012 — Furniture, Uncategorized
Materials: Kilby Bookcase Description: I just love Kilbys because they’re so cheap and only 24 cm deep. Well I love it, except the grey board behind the shelves, what were they thinking? Anyway I bought 4 Kilbys for my living room and figured I can do something about the boring grey.
