In Milan this month, Colé Italian design label will show two new folding screens signed by Catharina Lorenz and Steffen Kaz and new variations on the collection Tapparelle, designed by Emmanuel Gallina. Opto (folding screen) Lorenz+Kazz: Bauhaus inspired, the Opto screen has some irregular geometry going on. I love the smartly designed furniture from the Paris-based Kann Design . They work with a mix of designers to create a solid collection of mid-century inspired classics that would work in any style home, especially their Recycled Collection . Designed by the Italian duo Nicola Santini and Pier Paolo Taddei of Avatar Architettura , who happen to specialize in eco-friendly design, these pieces feature a myriad of recycled woods that give them unique character. The varied sizes of the wooden rectangles create a striking pattern, making each design a (functioning) work of art. R40 Sideboard (also pictured above) has ridges on top that can easily contain some of your books or knick knacks.

Materials: Liatorp Skjenk Description: We bought a used sideboard online, actually an IKEA furniture called Liatorp Skjenk. The sideboard was nice, but we needed a sideboard for the bedroom, and the original one wasn't really fitting in. So I decided to do something about it.

How sleek and chic is this bright and colorful modern sideboard? It would really add some punch to your dining room.
Made by Invisible City, a handmade modern furniture company from Britain, the ISO System 216 Sideboard is designed by Simon Moorhouse and also comes in a white/grey version. But I’m feeling the colors, how about you?
The glossy yellow and green lacquer up against the prominent wood grains are a combination that you don’t typically find in the dining room, and I love that. Maybe I’d use it as a dresser or a TV stand instead. What do you think?

The Conchiglia (shell) sideboard by Studiocharlie for Lema is inspired by the geometric form of a spiral or the “ golden ratio .” From the designers: What we see when we observe a spiral is a portion of it. As it develops it becomes too large to be perceived by the human eye, and in its origin it is too small for us to see the minute details. The sideboard Conchiglia is built on a portion of a spiral. As the geometric form develops, the size of the doors increases, and where the details become invisible at the origin of the spiral there is a void, a concentrated space
