The Picture Frames from Vidame Creation literally pop photos and artwork out of your walls and tables.
Designed by Julian Vidame, Picture Frames are made from polished stainless steel wires that attach to a brushed stainless steel plate. The plates are available in either a wall-mounting version or a free-standing version. The polished stainless steel wires have triangles that grab on to the edges of the photo.
The designer created Picture Frames because he thinks “a picture is more important than the frame, which must disappear.”
Julian Vidame is the designer behind Vidame Creation, based out of France. For more contemporary items from Vidame Creation, take a look at their website at http://www.vidamecreation.com.

Forget Meatloaf and his paradise by the dashboard light. Check out Paradise by the ceiling light, a modern light fixture by Ango, a design company based out of Thailand.
With a hand-finished stainless steel frame, Paradise acquires its interesting look from layers of silk cocoons. Silk cocoons are made in the glands within the silkworm’s body. Typically the cocoons are boiled before being used, but Ango uses the unprocessed cocoons in their natural color for Paradise.
To create the actual fixture, the silk cocoons are attached to thin wires which are then attached to the hand-soldered stainless steel frame, layer upon layer until the full shape is created.
What do you think about this chic ceiling light? Check out Paradise and other cool light fixtures at Ango’s website.

The Gear Table by Ryan Matchett of Ryan Matchett Design House was manufactured for a hotel in Rowanda. It consists of a mirror polish stainless steel base with adjustable rubber feet to allow for leveling on an uneven surface. Ryan explains that the top was a little trickier. First a hexagon shape was CNC cut from MDF and then segments of Walnut were attached to achieve a round shape. The gear pattern was then CNC cut and a walnut veneer was applied to obtain the overall appearance.
