These table and ceiling lamps made by Ragip Erdem are created from old books using not just the pages but the spine and covers, too. Turning them into little sculptures, Ragip hand makes each lamp from a single book, therefore no two lamps are the same. Two new pieces by Melt Interieur were shown in Milan last month: The 5° desk and Meltingpoint. The 5° desk The 5° desk is a fun, contemporary desk design with a 5° angled desktop, perfect for working on a laptop. Made from one piece of FSC-certified plywood, the desk looks slightly out of balance, but is sturdy and strong. On the side, there is even a power strip for you to plug in your laptop when batter power is low
