Oscar De La Renta’s Spring 2016 debut at NYFW yesterday was effortlessly successful. With models adorned in floral print or floral inspired gowns, dresses and jackets that weren’t too much to the eye as some floral designs are – his legacy surely lived on and continues to bloom. I love the Spanish influence of the new line – check out some of my fave pieces below.
The combination of black with red or other colors, layered ruffles and florals are reminiscent of Old world Spain and Flamenco dancers. The boldness and drama of the black compliments and contrasts the fragility of the floral prints and pastels. Perfect balance. Love these looks – and I’m sure they’ll be a huge hit in the spring 2016 design world as well.
